Hi, I am Josh.
I live in Fresno, California. By day I help owner led companies figure out why sales is stuck and build the team that fixes it. By night and weekend I make things.
My work lives at Bottleneck Breakthrough, where I diagnose sales talent problems, design better rosters and roles, and recruit when hiring is actually the answer. That is where the recruiting insights go.
This site is for everything else. I write about business the way I see it from inside small companies. I build speaker cabinets, websites for people and clubs I care about, and free tools for owners who want to plan their sales teams. I keep a 2004 MINI Cooper S running mostly out of stubbornness, smoke too much brisket, and play tennis and golf whenever the calendar allows.
I like things that feel built rather than generated: paper, steel, wood, a manual gearbox. This site tries to feel the same way.
